Lal and the People are an Electric Blues/Blues Rock band based in Pune, IN who have been featured on MTV and played Asia's biggest Blues festival the Mahindra Blues Festival.

The band was formed in the October of 2014, the sole songwriter of the band being Lal influenced by hard hitting Blues Rock music with the occasional inspiration of Soul and R&B finding their way in.

The band has been featured on MTV, performed at the 2016 and 2020 edition of Mahindra Blues Festival, with Lal joining the Homegrown Blues Collective. The band have released an EP called Bad Case Of Blues, tunes from which have been played on international Blues radio stations in North America, Australia and Europe. In 2024, the band released their latest single Cryin’ Shame, which is out on all platforms!
